Default Help with tire change / rotation

Hi everyone -

Looking for help finding where / how to get tires changed or rotated. My driver front is wearing a bit unevenly so at least need an alignment for sure. Its a 2019 CS Adventurous (on a MB Sprinter chassis).

Took it to a local MB dealer who said they could do it but eventually they said rig was too heavy (it was not loaded). They also had trouble finding the jack points due to everything under the carriage (including A/C).

Any tips on this? Who can safely jack up and change / rotate tires?

Thanks in advance for your thoughts!

For tire rotation, try your local Discount Tire. Chains are always the luck of the draw, but Discount franchises generally get excellent reviews. I don't in general believe in tire rotation. Makes more sense to just fix the problem. But, since you already have an issue, it probably is worthwhile.

Not sure if Discount does alignment, but every city has a place that specializes in trucks. Call around and you should be able to track them down. Call a random garage and when they say they can't do it, ask them who they recommend. They will likely know somebody.

Find your nearest Freightliner Dealer. They are owned by Mercedes and much more capable of working on heavy rigs than MB dealers. We even bought our Sprinter from them.

Don't go to MB for the alignment, they cust around $150.00 for that service. Ugh!

Took care of it today. Got two new tires for the front (and did not rotate them). Went to a place that handles trucks, that the MB dealer recommended actually, and they were great. In and out in under two hours including the alignment ($85).

And on top of that they allowed me in the well while they were doing the alignment, so I could take care of a very small drip from a connection under the carriage. Fixed that and took plenty of pictures of undercarriage in case I need for another reason down the road (pun intended).

Very happy with the experience.

Thanks for all the suggestions, super appreciate them!

$150 for alignment is cheap for the work involved.
