Sold my RT ..............
Well, I sold my Roadtrek.
It was very sad to see it being driven away but it went to a very nice couple from England who plan to tour Canada and the US for the next couple of years. For the last 15 or so years they've been travelling. Caravan, Motorhome, Tent, .......... you name it, they've done it!
It's nice to know "my" Roadtrek is heading off on a big adventure.
It took about 3 weeks to sell. Advertising in the local paper worked great.
I bought an '05/'06 Trail-Lite B+. Technically, the B+ classification doesn't exist but it describes this 23' unit well. It's on the Chevy 3500 platform. Same motor as my Roadtrek.
I needed living space for 3 adults. The Trail-Lite 213 B+ can just manage that. It was either that or stay home
I have to change my signature now............................

Nice looking rig Mark. It looks real nice inside. You'll enjoy the extra room.
We should be packing up our RV soon. As it stands, we should be moving in less than 2 weeks. I'm trying to get it delayed a couple weeks to help us get a door-to-door move. We bought a house out in the country so I'll have lots of room to store my RV and toys.

We'll miss you
On behalf of Roadtrek Motorhomes, I would like to thank you for not only having been a Roadtrek owner, but also for starting this forum.
I have followed this site since it's inception, and feel it has been a big help to current and prospective owners of Class B motorhomes of all brands.
Knowledge is power. Misinformation is just misinformation. I believe forums such as this provide the power to fully enjoy the RV lifestyle chosen by the members of this forum.
Thank you again for your dedication and hard work maintaining this site.
Best Regards!

Thanks Steve. I will definitely keep this forum going. My interest is still in Class B RV's. I'll be in one again.
I can't wait to see the new models later this year!
BTW, I saw a new Roadtrek 190P on a dealer lot. I like what Roadtrek did with the rear curtains.

Re: selling a used van
I found selling through the local paper worked much better than through web based ads. Some of the couples that came to see mine didn't own a computer.

Mark,
Does your "new" rig have a generator built in, or are you keeping your old setup?

It has a built in Onan 4000.
I'll probably sell the portable generator and the box I made.

Your new B+ is similar to my pre-RT RV
Hi Mark,
Your pictures of your new B+ brings back many fond memories I've had in our prior RV, a 21 foot Tioga Montara. The layout is identical to what we had. It worked perfectly for the three of us as our son was growing up (and up and up to 6'2"). Now that we're empty nesters (where did all the years go?), we went in the opposite direction to you and downsized to a Roadtrek.
Dave
(my first post here - hopefully the pictures come out ok!)

Welcome to the forum rtforme2003!
Thanks for posting the photos. They didn't show up at first because BB code (bulletin board code) was disabled.
Wow, very similar layout. My TV is in front where it looks like you had over cab sleeping, that's about the only difference I see.

Wow Mark I'm shocked! You sold your RT. But I am very happy you are staying into the B scene.
We just got back from our first long trip, 3000+ miles. Love the van! The wife got a little claustrophobic after about 5 days, but cured that by just spending more time outside and us stopping earlier in the day. Just what I had been suggesting since before we left.
By the way, nice looking unit you bought.....

bobojay - I must admit to having some pangs of regret........ I'll get over it
3000+ miles trip in your PW sounds great. Chevy's are great to drive.
