Default Sprinter future

There is a lot of post dealing with Sprinters and I just had a courious thought. Since Mercedes is selling off Chrysler what will happen to their future? Will Chrysler make their own van like they did before?

Looks like like there are two offers to purchase Chrysler from Daimler Benz.

Kirk Kerkorian's Tracinda Corp. offer is for $4.5 billion. Magna International offer is $4.7 billion.

Maybe Chrysler will continue to offer the Sprinter in an agreement similar to VW with their Crafter. (shown below)

Default Sprinter

I can't ever remember seeing a VW Crafter. Are they sold in the U.S? Are they front wheel drive like the Rialta? Does the name Crafter refer to "work van"? Looks like they would make a nice "B" motor home.

I don't think it's available in the US.

VW simply buys the rebadged Crafter from MB. It's a Europe only vehicle...
