Smile Roadtrek 210p Cleaning the roof?

OK I've had my 2006 Roadtrek 210 Popular for about a year now and I am wondering how others go about washing the exterior but especially the roof?
What type of cleaner and tools needed would be appreciated.

wash with car wash soap, water and sponge

wax with car wax

check all the seals before shooting water everywhere

Same here. If I don't have time for a full hand wash and wax at home, I sometimes take it to a self-service carwash in town that can handle taller vehicles. I use the pressure wand carefully around seals and vents. A 4' stepladder with the long-handle brush lets me reach the whole roof.

When I purchased the 05/04 Roadtrek, it had some black stuff on top? Mold I suppose from the Mississippi gulf coast just sitting in just the right conditions. After that cleaning, I used this method: 'out of site, out of mind'.

It's been working well sitting in the sun.

Check the AC seal first for leaks, I use Simple Green with a car wash in hot water, Rinse it off, towel dry, then i wax it and buff it. I do this twice a year and my RT look Great.
Nothing like watching the water bead off.

I have been using Aero Cosmetics Wash & Wax for six years, it really does a good job. Using a telescoping ladder and the Aero Wash & Wax Mop Head it is relatively quick and easy to maintain. They carry it on Amazon.

I use the same technique. I have 2’ sections of pool noodle attached to the back legs of an8’ step ladder. Just slit the pool noodles length wise, wrap them around the rear leg and hold them in place with a couple wraps of duck tape. The ladder leans against the side of the van it’s easy to wash or wax the roof.
