I happen to be monitoring the alternator charging on a stock 08 RS Sprinter with 220 ah Lifelins at the moment. The batteries were at 73% based on the Battery Check monitor when I started driving and the initial charge amps were around 45 and 13.1 volts at the battery but it quickly went down to 35 amps and has slowly gone down to 11.3 amps with the voltage rising to 14 volts after a little over an hour, mostly at 70 mph but idling for the last 15 min. Battery Check monitor is not making sense since it now shows 92% on the batteries which would have required adding 44 ah in an hour or so but the average charge amps were probably 20-25 amps. No info on how it determines 100% battery point or calibrates it over time. I will get a newer version of the Battery Check in a week or so and see if it seems to make more sense in the readings...
