Default huge enclosure box for a water pump? is it necessary?

The small water pump on the RT Agile is enclosed in a huge box about 18 x 18 inch big, reading from the shureflow water pump manual also mentions installing the pump in a spacious compartment. Why? I dont get the rationale behind this. Thanks.

Try sending your question/comment to
service@roadtrek.com
They should be able to explain it.
Don't forget to include your make/model and VIN number.
If you aren't yet registered with them (i.e you're not the original owner),
that's another good idea to assist them to respond when you have questions.

Accessibility is my guess, to change the filter etc. You need room to work.

It'll be interesting to hear what Roadtrek says.

Probably, as it's difficult to get at mine to change/clean the filter or to try to
get it out to replace or repair. Wish I had more room.
btw, did you find an old box in the garage, full of class b videos?

No problem. When it can't be googled or searched on here specifically, Roadtrek Service is
usually the next place I ask, for all things Roadtrek. I once had a question about adding a
roof mounted satellite dish system, and they sent me pictures of my '02 roof in various stages
of assembly, showing where the existing wiring was located, so I could cut and drill without
doing damage. They will also give insightful answers on "why" type questions if they know
the "because" answer.

(after looking at the pics, I decided on another way to get satellite TV. no cutting involved )
