Default 12 volt Air Conditioner

Interesting link: http://www.arcticbreeze-truckac.com/con ... intro.html

Quote:
Our 12V system draws 45 amps and provides 8000 BTU/hr of cooling and heating. Based on a duty cycle rate of 50-60%, this unit consumes only 350 watts/hr on average. (cooling)

Default Re: 12 volt Air Conditioner

That is still 300 AH in a 10 hr cooling day, and only get 4000 btu/hr of cooling. Sounds similar efficiency to the Roadtrek AC, just smaller. I don't think 4000 would do us a lot of good in hot weather, ours is 12,500 and sometimes struggles.

8,000 BTU/hr

It looks to be approximately the same amp hr usage as my 5,000 BTU 110 volt air conditioner running through an inverter.
