Default Roadtrek Macerator

Macerator stopped working during a pump out. Can hear the motor whirring but no water coming out. Has anyone else out there had the same problem and how was it fixed.
Thanks for any help

Sounds like broken impeller blades, the impeller is replaceable with either original parts or 3rd party heavy duty versions...

What Greg says about the impeller, or an outside chance that the inlet to the pump is totally plugged.

The impeller can be replaced, once you remove the pump, which is not a horrible job, but need to get under van and usually need to cut and reconnect the wiring. It can get messy, but you can shut the valves, and remove the cleanout plug on the opposite side of the pump to let most of the goop in the pipe out before removing the pump. Still not a pleasant job, though.

You might find the impeller repair kit cheapest at a marine parts place, rather than an RV parts place. I went to my local marine guy for the kit. When you replace the macerator use waterproof quick disconnects when rewiring. Save you time next time.
