Default Warranty advice

Buying 2015 Pleasureway Plateau TS with 28,000 kilometres (20,000)miles.
Very good condition.....4 year 80,000k ( 55,000 miles) warranty with Coverage One cost $4100 c about $3,000 us.

Is a warranty a good idea ? Anyone have any experience with Coverage One ?

What do you think is a fair purchase price for the coach ?

Thanks for your reply and help.

Don’t bother. Service departments are backed up for months and you will have to do repairs yourself anyhow. Whether or not you are handy with a wrench you will need to get handy.

Cannot help with price. I purchased 2016 PW Lexor TS in 2018 with 2200 miles on it. I looked into extended warranty at the same time. PW 5 year warranty is not transferable. Did not purchase the warranty. PW are very well made. Problems are with the components like propane regulator, battery separators and refrigerators. I would save money from warranty and use to repair appliances, etc. 2015 was transition year? House batteries may nee replacement, etc. I believe the newer technology increases conveniences like microwave etc. Only issue is more sophistication means more complications and problems. Recommend save money and use as a reserve bank for repairs.

Run, don't walk away from this deal! So called "warranties", actually referred to as Service Policies in the industry, are HUGE moneymakers for the selling dealer...commissions for the salesmen are large, which explains the pressure on the customer. You are essentially betting against yourself that you will have some kind of expensive catastrophic failure. Only a small percentage of owners come out on top of these policies. You are far, far better off taking the $4,000 and putting it in a savings account to cover future repairs, and adding to it when you are able. These policies have more loopholes than a Swiss cheese.
