Default Coast to Coast in an '87 RoadTrek

Howdy!

My fiance and I are taking our van across the country this upcoming spring. We bought it last July and got engaged in August, lived in it on and off this past summer and fall, and have been fiddling with it for the past couple of months while enjoying the temperate southern climate for the winter. We're interested in learning about renovations and seeing if there are folks out there who have the same model we do-she's a beaut! We've named our van Rocinante after reading Travels with Charley together this past fall. (:

We currently replaced the upper window attachment that allows for the window to pop out with a piece we salvaged from a scrapyard. We are now venturing into the realm of DIY rust & paint repair (and are looking for advice re: color matching) as well as a multitude of other renovations that preserve the original van while making her more long-term livable.

Looking forward to learning more and exploring the wealth of knowledge and community on this forum! Cheers!

Welcome to the forums. Learning about your unit and taking adventures are the greatest things about owning a motor home.
