Yes, insulation is necessary. I used to own a 2017 Pleasure Way which had almost no insulation. I now have a custom built with spray foam throughout. The difference is night and day. As soon as the sun went down, the Pleasure Way got cold. With the new van, it's comfortable until we go to bed at 11pm. Even then, the heat doesn't kick on until 3-4am. The AC doesn't work as hard either. Insulation is cheap and easy. Why go without it?

Advanced RV is smack up close to a major railroad line in Willoughby, OH. When you stay overnight in their parking lot trains come through all night and being in a dense area of street crossings the trains have to sound their whistles.

Maybe that is why they go the extra mile with Hushmat 100% everywhere in addition to insulation.

BTW, most all Harvest Host sites so far have been very rural and tranquil after winery closings for the night. But I swear KOA's search out cheap land next to railroads.

I often bring my trains with me... no complaints from the neighbors yet!

Of course, it's usually at a train meet!

Now that's a train I could easily sleep all night listening to the clickity-clack.
