Default Replace LP Regulator 2003 Roadtrek 190

I just purchased a 2003 Roadtrek 190 and the LP gas regulator is leaking. Access is very limited as the regulator is just behind the rt rear bumper with trailer hitch just below. Is it necessary to remove the substantial hitch? Looks to me like the bumper could be removed for access but I'm wondering if others have already tackled this issue. Seems odd to have such an inaccessible place for such an important component.

Thanks for any tips! I'm brand new to the forum; apologies if this message is redundant or in the wrong place. I couldn't find info on my search.

I dropped the tank. Undo the gas line at the corner and the four bolts that hold the tank and drop it.
