Kaptain,

If you still have the plastic alt knob on your old carb can I buy it from you. Sounds silly but mine is missing

Many of them are missing because that is basically a main mixture control knob limiter on the emissions carbs. A lot of time if the generator is surging from being lean (gummed up) you can turn it to a lower altitude and make it better, and the plastic knob limits how far you can turn it beyond the marked altitudes. Ours disappeared while at Onan for a warranty repair for surging a week after we got it.

Looks like a good project.
Not sure if our 210P AC is the same but here's my replacement using an 11k BTU unit. One key part of this was ensuring separation of intake and exhaust air. Also, if the unit is sealed to the wall sleeve, any rainwater dripping into the rear pan should just drain out the back. But perhaps the 200 is a different drainage setup, I'm not sure.

Whoops, I did not see this. I may still have it if you need it. You can have it.

I noticed the difference in cooling immediately without rear baffles to separate intake and exhaust air. I made some triangular shaped baffles and attached them from the rear of the AC back to the grill. Works fantastic. I do have a drain pan that looks factory, with a tube going behind the wall, down and out the bottom. The way I have sealed things up, I don’t think the water can even get through to the drain pan. I’m not sure why it’s there, unless there was a drain hole above the pan at one point. This photo is just before I added the baffles and sealed it up.

Wondering how yours is going and what the gutting inside looks like
