Default Replace Transmission on Chev. 04 Roadtrek 190 P

I need a rebuild on my trans. after 130K miles and I understand that the holding tanks may have to be removed to get to the bolts on the trans. crossmember.
Has anyone had this problem in North Jersey and if so where did you go to have it taken care of? Thanks.

This is not a response but a related question. The Chevy 6.0 L van of that vintage usually has a robust transmission which lasts far longer than 130,000 miles. So was this van fitted with a smaller engine option and possibly a different transmission or was there a suspected cause for the transmission problem that you or your mechanics could identify? Thanks in advance.

None. It just went.
Replaced it with GMAC rebuilt
and they were able to get it out w/o
cutting tanks or member holding on trans.
Wayne Trans. in Wayne, NJ.
