A 200 - 300 pound side to side difference on the 190 would surprise me yet the driver side does carry a larger water tank and more appliances.
Looking forward to weighing the van.

Ive removed the non functioning generator so I’ve saved some (rear) weight there.

On a separate note: we always feel grateful being back home after a long trip but a couple months later we’re (I mostly) ready to get back on the road.

my spare is mounted on the left door
with the hard cover on the spare I need an extension for the HF cargo carrier ( the aluminum one) or for the HF motorcycle carrier.


I switched to a soft cover and no longer need the extensions - no rise.



with a large igloo carrier in the rack, the doors clear it ( the cooler is used to carry the kayak)


Looks like you already ditched the hard cover so I assume your rack is as close as you can get?
can you get closer by redrilling?


anti -rattle brackets are a good thing too

Our scale measurements and some others, including from Bill Erb at Valley Spring, have shown that weight offset for the Chevies. It will be interesting to see how your's weighs in.


We adjusted the weight vs height on our when the new air bags with overload spring leaf removal was done so we got level an can use equal bag pressures. The unbalance is not a big deal, IMO, unless the rear axle is near max load as then you could see a tire at more than rated load.

Back from the NC mountains and Berm Park (mtb park).

Did not notice any excessive porpoising (porpoise cancelling!) on our trip.

I also “deadheaded” in the back and observed the basket at hwy speeds. Very little movement.


Unrelated: seems every year the fantastic fan stops working and I have to push the button/switch (on top at LF) down several times to get it going again.

my fan has the 0 1 2 3 rotary switch with a thermostatic switch


if you just have a push button on/off, these are a great $2 switch

Hey

I’m talking about the door switch that turns off the fan when the vent is closed. I have to remove the screen and reach between the fan blades to access the switch. I push it a few times and the fan starts working again, no big deal.
Quirky. Like having to tighten the knob with a Phillips screwdriver once a year or the vent lid won’t open.
Hurray for plastic.

ah, that is a momentary switch



"normally closed" and when depressed it breaks the connection


( opposite of a doorbell)


it likely has a weak spring or some crud on the shaft keeping a plunger from popping up


a couple drops of a plastic safe contact cleaner dribbled onto the plunger shaft may solve that forever - deoxit is a brand
